Fashion Forecast: Bo Stanley about the future of plus size fashion

Fashion Forecast” is the place where designers, bloggers, celebrities, models, clients and fashion students get a chance to speak about the future of the plus size fashion industry. Bo Stanley, pro surfer and model of “Natural Models L.A.” talks to us about her view of how the plus size industry is going to change. As the spokeswoman of “Healthy is the new skinny”, she supports a campaign that speaks out for a positive body image, particularly in the fashion industry.

How is the perception of the plus size industry going to change within the next couple of years in your opinion?

I see more and more the demand for plus size models in the industry, which is awesome! I would love to see a variety of women everywhere from a size 6-16. To show women of all sizes, including in between sizes that are not considered plus, nor straight size. I see over the next 5 years this being a very important time for women of all sizes to be shown and pushed in the modeling industry. Curves are on the uprise!

By the way: You can find Bo Stanley in the past issue of our magazine! If you like her style, then we have just the right thing for you. Shop Bo’s style here.
